Dr Renuka Sharon Ranasinghe qualified in 1990 at the Royal Free Hospital, London, UK. She later moved to Cambridge, UK where she worked as a GP and as a Clinician in Dermatology and Skin Cancer at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge, UK. This involved many WWII veterans from the East Anglian Regiment who had been in Libya, Egypt, Africa and had extensive Solar Damaged Skin.

In 2010, Dr Renuka moved to Western Australia where she later worked solely in the field of skin cancer checks, surgical procedures and helping patients with dermatological issues. In 2024 she moved to Queensland and has now relocated to the Moffat Beach Family Practice.

She hopes to provide a more affordable specialist service to the local population away from the Corporate Companies.

Certificates Skin Cancer Medicine and Dermoscopy ( Skin Cancer College, Australasia)

Professional, Advanced Certificates in Skin Cancer Surgery followed by Diploma in Skin Cancer Surgery, Bond University, Queensland

Attendance at multiple Surgical and Dermoscopy Masterclasses and  Skin Cancer Conferences over the years. 20 years’ experience in skin cancer and dermatology clinical work, with clinical attachments to a Plastic Surgeon in Western Australia.

In her spare time Dr Renuka cares for her 2 adopted rescued dogs and enjoys swimming. In 2021 her biggest achievement was completing the Rottnest Channel 19.7 km  SOLO swim in six and a half hours.
